Metito, a global provider of intelligent water management solutions, has successfully reported over 2 million safe man-hours without lost time injury (LTI) across all ongoing projects and operations in the United Arab Emirates in 2018.

Dubai-based operations alone have logged an impressive 2,042,638 man-hours without LTI, and a total of 12,122,693 man-hours during the six years from 2013 to 2018. Outstanding hours were accounted for from the ongoing operations in some key sewage treatment plants in Sharjah, which recently recorded 827,210 safe man-hours after the phase 4 and 5 upgrade operations started in February 2017.

Metito’s commitment to stringent and high standards of health and safety procedures strategically reinforces the leadership position the company has maintained throughout its 60 years of operations in this critical industry across the markets where it operates.

“We strongly believe the staggering number of safe man-hours reinforces our company values, not only to be customer-centric but more importantly, to be people-focused. This is crucial to maintain the high quality of products and services Metito is known for. Our vision enables us to lead our industry by example and inspire others to follow suit, especially when it comes to the wellbeing of our employees, who we consider to be our most valuable asset”, commented Fady Juez, Managing Director at Metito.

Fady adds, “We pride ourselves on our global records in quality, health and safety measures as we commit to upholding procedures that are in accordance with global world-class standards. In the UAE for instance, since we began our Sharjah Sewage Treatment Plant project for phase 4 and 5, we have incurred no LTIs; this bodes extremely well for the rest of this five-year project and is a tribute to the leadership and teamwork at the sites”.

Metito is at the forefront of the water and wastewater industry with a project portfolio that includes more than 3000 projects in more than 46 countries which are managed through its strategically located operational offices with over 2500 employees.
