INNOVATION LIVE! RETURNS FOR A SECOND YEAR WITH NEW AND EXTENDED PROGRAMME

MEED, the region’s leading business intelligence provider has announced the return of Innovation Live! for the 2017-2018 season.  Launched in 2016, the first-of-its-kind innovation summit brought together theUAE’s private and government sectors to address key challenges within the sustainable energy, smart cities, education, healthcare, transport and industrial sectors.

The second season of Innovation Live! launches with an extended programme leading up to the main festival, which is set to take place on 5th & 6th February 2018, during the UAE’s National Innovation Month. The programme includes a number of think-tank sessions, themed around a particular industry, where high profile representatives from the relevant sectors will come together to cultivate innovation inspired outcomes to set challenges.

There will also be a series of networking seminars, conferences and learning initiatives attended by senior officials from across the UAE, ahead of February’s two-day event, which is open to the public. The festival’s key speakers, due to be announced in the coming months, will build on last year’s famed line-up which featured a headline talk from Guy Kawasaki and gathered over 1,500 attendees.

The first phase of the Innovation Live! will start with live broadcast sessions as part of the platform’s Watercooler series, kicking off with Healthcare on 8th August. The broadcast, which is sponsored by NMC Healthcare, saw panel members including Dr. Bassam Saleh Hasan Mahboub, Head of Innovative and New Care Models, Dubai Health Authority, Daniel Whitehead, Director of Medical Strategy, Daman Health Insurance and Prasanth Manghat, CEO - NMC Healthcare, discuss the topic of How does the UAE improve healthcare quality? Further broadcasts on Innovation 360 sponsored by Emirates Global Aluminium and Waste Management sponsored by Bee’ah are set to follow in the coming weeks.
