Dubai Exports wins ISO 9001: 2015 for service quality and organisational excellence

Dubai - MENA Herald: Dubai Exports, the export promotion agency of the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai, Got Dubai EDC, has won the ISO 9001: 2015 certification from SGC Gulf Limited, an accredited agency of the UKAS (UK Accreditation Services), for quality and organisational excellence.

The certification comes in recognition of the achievements of Dubai Exports in identifying and managing risks associated with aligning its products and services with strategies for improved customer satisfaction and foreign trade, particularly exports.

Engineer Saed Al Awadi, CEO of Dubai Exports, remarked: "We are delighted and proud to have won the latest ISO certification as it acknowledges our efforts to implement the best international practices in all processes and procedures, and the commitment of our employees to provide quality and services of the highest standards to exporters. The recognition also validates our achievements in organisational development and government excellence. It will inspire us to keep our services and performance aligned to the latest international standards.”

Abdullah Mohammed, Director of Development and Follow-up in Dubai Exports, said the agency constantly reviews and upgrades its procedures and operations, especially to identify and address risks and develop innovative products and services for exporters and buyers. “We review all procedures twice every year based on surveys among exporters in Dubai, and the UAE in general. Direct meetings are also held with exporters every quarter to determine their needs and identify areas for improvement and development.”

Dubai Exports is a globally recognised institution in the field of trade promotion and export development, working closely with the International Trade Centre (ITC) of the World Bank. The agency supports local exporters to enter new markets and provide services through its overseas offices across six countries, contributing to enhancing exports out of the UAE every year.
