Current and former KPMG employees win big at the Middle East ICAEW Awards

Current and former employees of KPMG recently won awards across several categories at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Middle East Annual Honours Ceremony 2018. The event, held in Dubai on 6 December 2018, celebrates accomplishments in the finance and accountancy world.

Current and former KPMG employees secured wins in all three student categories at the awards. Anam Hayat Khan, Iva Saric and Xuan Xu scored the highest grades in Corporate Reporting, Strategic Business Management and Case Study, respectively. Marya Ahli was the first Emirati to qualify on the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) programme from KPMG.

ACCA is a global professional accounting body that offers the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification. The qualification helps audit professionals prepare themselves for a range of opportunities in the profession.

Jamal Fakhro, Managing Partner of KPMG in Bahrain, was honoured with the ICAEW award for Contribution to Practice, demonstrating organizational values, including good ethics, integrity, objectivity, independence and transparency, professional competence, access and diversity.
