Abu Dhabi - MENA Herald:

Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has attracted huge interest from leading international companies in unmanned systems and simulation and training during its participation in the recently concluded Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSi2019) and the International Forum for the Military and Civil Simulation, Training and Education Community (ITEC).

ADNEC’s participation in both events aimed to promote the unique opportunities offered by the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) and Simulation Exhibition and Conference (SimTEX) as definitive events to highlight the latest technologies and solutions in the unmanned systems, simulation and training domains.

As part of its strategy to promote its specialised international exhibitions, ADNEC has put in place a well-devised action plan which includes participation in major international exhibitions and shows and engaging with key decision makers from top international companies in defense, unmanned systems, simulation and training sectors.

Jointly organised by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) and the General Headquarters of the UAE Armed Forces, UMEX and SimTEX 2020 will run from 23 to 25 February 2020 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The dual event assumes significant importance given its increasing role as a prominent global platform for highlighting the Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and their sophisticated applications within the commercial, industrial, scientific and medical domains.

Saeed Al Mansoori, Executive Director of IDEX, said: "The successful participation of ADNEC delegation in AUVSi2019 and ITEC is yet another evidence of the strong international interest in the only specialised unmanned systems, simulation and training shows in the Middle East. Furthermore, the participation enabled us to highlight the potential opportunities offered by this promising market for international companies to showcase their latest innovations and solutions and capitalise on the increasing demand from the region. In attracting thousands of decision makers, experts and business leaders from industrial, technological and commercial domains, both UMEX and SimTEX serve as an ideal platform to strengthen relationships with industry's key players and explore the latest innovations.”

Al Mansouri added: "UMEX and SimTEX 2020 are set to register significant growth in terms of participation and quality of international attendance. For our national companies, the dual event creates an unprecedented opportunity to connect with international players and forge strategic collaborations. Furthermore, the participation of several leading universities and specialised technical, scientific and research institutions in the event will help combine both scientific, theoretical and practical aspects of unmanned systems and simulation and training solutions.”

One of the largest unmanned systems exhibitions worldwide, AUVSi is held in Chicago, US, and drew the participation of 750 international companies in its latest edition. ITEC, one of the world's leading exhibitions in simulation and training, is held in Stockholm, Sweden.

Launched in 2016, UMEX and SimTEX are biennial events that also includes a specialised international conference that discusses the most important topics related to unmanned systems and simulation and training sectors. In addition to highlighting the latest developments and emerging challenges, the event allows key decision makers, thought leaders and experts to evolve international strategies and develop innovative solutions in unmanned systems and simulation and training.

The 2018 edition of UMEX and SimTEX attracted 122 local and international companies and 13,000 visitors from 34 countries.
