The program will be offered in partnership with Paris Dauphine University and with the support of leading academic and educational institutions from China, Malaysia, France, UAE and Russia.

The meeting was attended by a number of high-profile academics and senior officials from Paris Dauphine University, including Arnaud Raynouard, Vice President for International Affairs. During the meeting, Dr. Al Awar emphasized the importance of creating direct channels to encourage the exchange of best practices between educational, academic and training institutions from around the world. He pointed out that sharing HBMSU’s expertise in smart learning with top-notch Paris Dauphine University reflects Dubai’s position as a leading international knowledge center.

Dr. Al Awar said: “The interest of European and international academic entities in our long-standing expertise, which began in 2002, demonstrates the success of HBMSU in driving innovation and creativity in smart learning and re-structuring education to address the needs of the 21st century. The University’s role does not only revolve around consolidating the culture of quality and innovation in learning and scientific research, but it also includes exporting best expertise, experiences and practices to Arab and international universities. This is in line with the vision of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and President of HBMSU.”

“HBMSU remains proactive in following the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to implement the ‘National Innovation Strategy’ aimed at making the UAE amongst the most innovative countries in the world by 2021. We have made great strides in terms of driving innovation in the learning industry by developing innovative academic and training programs that combine the latest smart technologies with best practices to boost students’ creativity. This falls in line with the objectives of UAE Vision 2021 aimed at developing knowledge- and innovation-driven human resources to build a competitive economy. Our recent discussions to explore ways to share our expertise in smart learning with Paris Dauphine University demonstrated our ongoing efforts to reinforce Dubai’s and UAE’s leading global position,” Dr. Al Awar added.

“Our cooperation with Paris Dauphine University to launch the International Master’s Degree in Sustainable Development follows the success of the previously signed cooperation agreement between the two parties which centered on intensifying efforts to develop specialized programs and initiatives to meet the educational and training needs of the Islamic finance sector in the GCC and MENA regions. We will continuously promote international cooperation to drive innovation in smart learning as a cornerstone to achieve comprehensive development worldwide and maintain a better future for the coming generations,” he concluded.
