Dubai - MENA Herald:

The outstanding ISC (grade 12) results of GEMS Modern Academy gave the teachers and students much to celebrate as the news of impressive marks trickled in.

Nargish Khambatta, Principal and CEO of GEMS Modern Academy, and Vice President – Education, GEMS Education, Dubai, said: " While we are very pleased with our toppers and the outstanding results our students and teachers have once again achieved, I’d like to acknowledge every single student’s effort. With so much emphasis on achievement, we forget to acknowledge and applaud the effort put in by the few who haven’t made it to the 90’s club. At Modern, my team cares about our students’ wellbeing as much as their academic achievement. We truly are proud of every one of them. Hearty congratulations to our students, parents and teachers - the strong bond we share as a community nurtures excellence.”

Building on its 32-year history of being the oldest ICSE School in Dubai, students from GEMS Modern Academy have once again performed very well even though they take part in all extracurricular events.  It takes perseverance and focus to produce such exemplary results year on year.

144 students appeared for the ISC (Grade 12) exam, with a batch average of 86.5% with 47.92% percent of students scoring above 90%

Vaishvi Seth topped the batch with a staggering average of 98.5. %

Since the past two year, the Modern has done away with ‘streaming’ students and hence rather than announce a Science, Humanities and Commerce topper, the school is declaring the students with the highest averages as the 3 toppers. With an aggregate score of 98.5%, topping the 2019 ISC batch is Vaishvi Seth, who is also a medal winning swimmer and artist of merit. Vaishvi is joining University of Warwick, and will be reading Business and Finance.

Coming a close second, are Anagh Premchand and Rishika George with an impressive aggregate of 98.25%.

Ayush Bhatt, Pranav Dureja and Pranav Thomas scored 98%.
