Dubai - MENA Herald:

The winners of a prize draw launched by GEMS Education, in partnership with Mastercard, have been announced. Chosen in a random draw conducted by an official from Dubai Economic Department, the five lucky winners, whose children all attend GEMS Education schools, have each received AED 30,000 in GEMS Points that can be used towards payment of school fees.

The initiative, which ran from 25 July to 31 August 2018, was open to parents of students enrolled in GEMS Education schools. To participate, parents were required to use their Mastercard to pay for school fees, with each payment entitling them to one entry into the draw. To increase their chances of winning, parents were able to use their GEMS NBAD Titanium Mastercard to receive up to five entries into the draw, in addition to benefitting from the discount of up to 4.25% already afforded by the credit card.

The winners included parents with children attending Our Own English High School – Sharjah, GEMS Wellington International School, Al Khaleej National School, Cambridge International School – Dubai, and Our Own High School – Al Warqa’a.

Sugam Bhasin, Vice President of Marketing and Loyalty at GEMS Education, said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Mastercard to offer our five lucky winners AED 30,000 in GEMS Points. At GEMS Education, we are committed to putting a quality education within the reach of every child, and this is the latest in a series of initiatives designed to make it as easy as possible for parents to pay for their child’s tuition. The prize draw complements the wider GEMS Rewards programme, which is exclusively available to our community of students, parents and staff, allowing them to enjoy incredible savings across a host of experiences and earn GEMS Points.”

Girish Nanda, General Manager, UAE & Oman at Mastercard, said: “Our support for this campaign reflects Mastercard’s ongoing commitment to highlighting the importance of education. Quality schooling unlocks enhanced opportunities for the next generation, and plays a vital role in the development of prosperous and inclusive communities. We extend our congratulations to the winners of the prize draw; it’s truly a pleasure for us to be able to assist with their children’s journeys towards a priceless future.”
