Dubai - MENA Herald: Academia Management Solutions International (AMSI) – which manages Al Mawakeb Schools and International School of Arts & Sciences (ISAS) – announces the launch of ‘AMSI Voices’, which is a networking platform for student empowerment. Formed by AMSI alumni, the main aim of this initiative is to give back, inspire and make a difference in the lives of students.

AMSI Voices is steered by a prominent 5-member committee: Alissar Nasr (AMSI CAO - Academia Management Solutions International), Hind Seddiqi (Chief Marketing Officer of Seddiqi Holding), Mariam Al Afridi (Director of Marketing & Corporate Communications at Dubai Media Inc.), Mania Merrikhi (Head of Communications at Economic Zones World, Jafza) and Mahra Al Khaja (Senior Project Leader at EGA-full name please/).
“I was, am and will always be proud of our students’ achievements… and being able to share that pride with the larger community in the form of giving back, that is an even greater pride. AMSI Voices was born not only to inspire but to be inspired, and I already am by my 4 alumni on the Steering Committee,” said Alissar Nasr – AMSI CAO.
The theme of the inaugural conference, which will be held on 19th March at the Bustan Rotana Hotel, is ‘Girls are Makers of Change’. The event will be attended by girls from G11 & G12, their mothers, AMSI female alumni, support staff as well as VIP guests from various government authorities.
There will be insightful panel discussions on topics such as ‘challenges in the workplace’, ‘balancing work and family life’ as well as a workshop on ‘exploring career options’. Following the conference, a ‘Mentorship’ program, focusing on alumni students guiding and inspiring girl-students and helping them make the right career choices, will be introduced across schools.
“Our profound feeling of commitment and devotion will touch more lives as we plan more and more proactive initiatives for AMSI schools, for our community, for Dubai and the UAE in hopes that we can make a difference,” further added Ms. Alissar.
