Keeping the adrenaline fueled off-roaders in mind, Toyota, exclusively distributed by Al-Futtaim Motors, leader in sustainable mobility since 2008, has introduced the Xtreme kit to the Toyota Fortuner, inducting it into the Xtreme family along with the Land Cruiser and FJ Cruiser. Fans of the Xtreme lineup can see the cars’ limits being pushed at the action-packed off-road activity taking place during the Dubai International Motor Show at the outdoor Toyota 4x4 Adventure.

The 4x4 Toyota Adventure at the Dubai International Motor Show invites all thrill seekers to test drive the Xtreme line-up as well as the newly launched Prado, in the most challenging yet fun settings. The activity consists of undulating roads, variable terrains, steep inclines and declines, as well wet conditions, which will showcase the vehicles’ extreme off-road capabilities, controlled maneuverability and improved suspensions.
As an additional treat to Dubai’s off-road community, Toyota will also be displaying the new Toyota Hilux Xtreme Concept. The Xtreme modifications on Hilux give the unbreakable pick-up a makeover and enhance its off-road capabilities. Other vehicles on display include Land Cruiser Super Xtreme Concept, Hilux TRD, and the classic Land Cruiser Pickup L70.
Fortuner Xtreme
Renowned for its durability and off-road prowess, the new Fortuner Xtreme is set to deliver exceptional toughness in the harshest environments, thanks to its new and improved rigid body structure. The new build also helps prevent torsion and distortion, thus providing a stable driving experience. The Fortuner Xtreme uses an enhanced suspension that absorbs vibration for optimised comfort, smoothness and stability, allowing it to dominate even the most challenging of deserts in the UAE. It comes with a 4.0-liter V6 engine, capable of producing 270 HP and 38.8kg-m of torque thanks to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Fortuner Xtreme comes with a rear view camera, leather and wood trimmed steering wheel, paddle shifts, 7-inch display with support for DVD/USB/AUX/Bluetooth audio and a rear differential lock. Other add-ons include a new off-road suspension, air compressor and an off-road flag. To add to its looks, the Fortuner Xtreme also gets 17-inch alloy wheels with all terrain tires and body colored over fenders.
Land Cruiser Xtreme
The “Pride of the Land”, Toyota Land Cruiser has always been a favorite among residents in the UAE. One of the most selling vehicles in UAE, as well as the most fuel efficient in its class, the Land Cruiser has made its mark on the off-roading scene.
In the Xtreme Edition, the Land Cruiser gets a whole new set of wider tires and Fox suspension settings, resulting in an improved off road performance. Thanks to its powerful 5.7L engine capable of producing an output of 362hp, and a full time 4x4 design with 54 kg-m torque, the Land Cruiser Xtreme will be able to handle even the most challenging off road course with ease.
The Land Cruiser Xtreme also comes with an air compressor, 20” Glossy Black wheels, , cat back exhaust system, a center console cooler box and new fender flares. There are also additional features such as a 360-degree view camera, Vehicle Stability Control, Active Traction Control, Hill Start Assist Control, Crawl Control, Turn Assist Function, Multi Terrain Select, a 9” display with navigation and dual airbags for the front, sides and curtains.
FJ Cruiser Xtreme
The next member of the Xtreme family is the tough FJ Cruiser. The Xtreme variant of the FJ Cruiser comes with an increased ride height and FOX suspension, exclusive to this model. This off-roader also comes with a cat-back exhaust system and an improved engine, cementing its claim of being able to take on the roughest of terrains.
The FJ Cruiser Xtreme comes with a powerful 4.0-liter V6 engine, producing 270 HP and 38.8kg-m of torque with the help of a 5-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to its part-time 4x4 design, it is easily able to cope with the demands of on-road as well as off-road driving. In terms of safety, the FJ Cruiser Xtreme comes with standard Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control, Active Traction Control and Crawl Control . Other add-ons for the FJ Cruiser Xtreme include new fender flairs, front driving lamps and an air compressor. To give it an overall Xtreme look, the vehicle also gets 16-inch matt black alloy wheels, black door mirrors, a hood scoop and light coves for the front and rear.
Toyota’s Xtreme project is in collaboration with Artic Truck, a company that specializes in Icelandic off-road vehicle modification and NSV, leaders in vehicle integration. Cars modified by Arctic Trucks have been used on expeditions on the Magnetic North Pole with Top Gear, the South Pole, over the glacier of Greenland and on the erupting Icelandic volcano, Eyjafallajökull.
The Land Cruiser Xtreme is the leading vehicle in the Artic Truck range, and is traditionally employed by rescue squads and construction companies thanks to its advanced ability in the most difficult terrain and severest climates.
