Abu Dhabi - MENA Herald: Emirates Motor Company (EMC), the authorised distributor of Mercedes-Benz in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the flagship company of Al Fahim Group, has announced its tie-up with the inaugural edition of Abu Dhabi Cycling Tour race as the Official Car Sponsor. The Abu Dhabi Cycling Tour is set to run from 8 to 11 October in Abu Dhabi.
As part of its sponsorship support, EMC will deploy 48 luxurious Mercedes-Benz 2015 models, including ML class vehicles with fixtures, as well as C class and S class luxury cars to facilitate the transportation of teams, race organisers and officials for support, logistics, and general transportation requirements throughout the event. The sponsorship is part of EMC’s corporate social responsibility through joining hands with leading entities to promote healthy living lifestyles among Abu Dhabi residents.
EMC has been gearing up for the race with installing roof racks on the Mercedes-Benz vehicles for the cyclists to utilize throughout the four-day race. Representatives from the cycling teams dropped by EMC’s Airport Road Showroom earlier in the week to pick up the co-branded premium Mercedes-Benz vehicles and meet the EMC team.

EMC will leverage its agreement with Abu Dhabi Tour to launch the versatile Mercedes-Benz GLC, the most advanced SUV in its class that combines a modern SUV design with functionality and agility. The car’s debut is set to take place at Town Square in the Yas Mall Abu Dhabi during the event from 8 to 11 October 2015.
